Spain Story proposes a reflection about the politics of death, silence and memory, exploring the spectral capacity of images to constitute narratives that are divergent from and unreconciled with official history.
Through the manipulation of photographic archives, the project investigates the capacity of pictures to disrupt our present, pointing to the violences of the necropolitical operations of recent history.
The resulting spectrographs are thus conceived as an allegorical medium that investigates the way in which events are forgotten or remembered by the photographic image.
